Photonics France, the french federation of photonics, is the industry’s national representative to government authorities.
It brings together stakeholders in the field of light science and technology to promote and advocate for the interests of photonics.

Photonics France is a non-profit organisation established in 2018. Its mission is to represent and champion the photonics industry.
Photonics France brings together the various stakeholders in the field of photonics :
- industry players : manufacturers, distributors and service providers,
- academic institutions : research organisations, educational institutions offering initial and continuing education,
- associations : competitiveness clusters, industry clusters, learned societies, clubs and trade unions
The diversity of its members (start-ups, SMEs, mid-market companies, large corporations, training organisations, competitiveness clusters and associations) ensures that it is representative of the sector.
This strength enables it to advocate for the sector’s interests with public authorities and economic stakeholders.
To promote photonics
Photonics France raises awareness of photonics among decision-makers, the media and the general public to increase its visibility and support.
Its aim is to promote the sector at national and European level, and to coordinate and encourage development projects.
Training and recruiting the next generation of talent.
Photonics France is developing an industry-wide employer brand to boost the appeal of careers in photonics and improve future recruitment.
From vocational A-levels to PhDs, Photonics France supports an ambitious, coherent and relevant training policy in collaboration with training stakeholders and its members.
